I booked the pre-baited package and travelled to Last Mountain Lake to meet Anthony, who showed me the swim he’d been preparing and pre-baiting for the week leading up to my arrival. Straight away it was clear a lot of thought had gone into it, plenty of space for both myself and my fishing partner, the fish were showing and we had access to a private area of the lake I wouldn’t have been able to fish without going through Banklife.

Anthony’s support was spot on. As an experienced angler I didn’t need hand-holding, but he checked in daily to see how things were going, talk through captures, and make sure we had everything we needed. Conditions were challenging at times with changing pressure, but we still finished off the week with 38 quality Carp gracing the mat!

All in all it was a great week on the bank and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend getting in touch and experiencing what Last Mountain Lake has to offer under Anthony’s guidance.

From the moment my hosts met me at the airport I knew that I was going to be in good hands. Anthony and Vicky know their stuff! Once loaded into very comfortable transportation we set off for a week of carp fishing on Last Mountain Lake. The first sight of Last Mountain Lake as we approached the swim was breathtaking. A perfect, tranquil setting that instantly promised an escape from the everyday. The selected swim had been pre-baited prior to my arrival, all of the required tackle and bankside comfort was provided and a hearty lunch was to kick off this amazing week.

The fishing. Incredible! I have been fishing for carp for over 30 years and have never experienced a fight quite like it from those carp in Last Mountain Lake. They are a different strain! The number of carp landed was truly staggering, a testament to Anthony’s meticulous preparation. In a session where almost every fish seemed to be a personal best, the fact that only one landed under the magical 20lb mark speaks volumes about the size and health of the Last Mountain Lake strain. Every single bent rod was a battle, a thrilling, muscle-aching contest that I haven’t experienced for a long time. The knowledge and passion that Anthony puts into his trips is hard to beat. To get the most out of your trip, I strongly recommend that you get your hands dirty. Get out in the boat with your host, help with baiting the swim and learn about the lake early on. This will only help you land more fish.

The food. Wow. I love good food. Vicky absolutely smashed it. What an amazing chef she is. Three delicious meals a day, and bankside at that. This isn’t just home cooked offerings, it is restaurant level! These guys will keep you entertained, well fed and watered, and above all else into some amazing fishing. Every detail of the week, from the professional guiding to the gourmet cuisine, surpassed every expectation I could have possibly had. This isn’t just a fishing trip; it’s a full-service, five-star angling experience that I would recommend to any serious carp enthusiast. I am coming back again!

In August of 2023, I travelled to the Prairies with a few close friends for what would become one of the most memorable fishing trips of my life. I’d seen photos over the years and the fish were big and built different. I finally decided it was time to experience it for myself and reached out to Anthony. Before long, a week-long adventure was booked.

From the moment we landed, we were taken care of. Anthony and his wife Vicky picked us up at the airport and brought us straight to our destination. I was beyond excited to finally be in the Prairies and couldn’t wait to get a line in the water. Within just a few hours, we were fully set up and fishing.

Anthony had absolutely everything covered including bivvies, bed chairs, rods, reels and all the end tackle we could need. I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first about only being allowed to fish one rod. Coming from Ontario where three rods are permitted, it felt limiting. I quickly learned that one rod was more than enough.

The fishing was nothing short of epic. I landed dozens of fish including two mirrors and a massive 35 lb common. There were multiple moments when all of us were hooked up at the same time with true triple headers that we’ll be talking about for years.

Beyond the fishing, the experience as a whole was exceptional. The scenery was stunning, the atmosphere was peaceful and the hospitality was second to none. And then there was the food which deserves its own mention. Chef Vicky fed us like kings. These weren’t just home-cooked meals, they were next level. Honestly, Bank Life deserves a Michelin Star for the consistency, quality and care put into every meal. The food served right on the bank while fishing was better than any restaurant I’ve eaten, and all served bankside.

Anthony and Vicky are exceptional hosts who truly care about creating an unforgettable experience. This trip exceeded every expectation and is one I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

As an avid multi-species angler, I have become hooked on carp fishing thanks to Anthony, and our royal experience! I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for an unforgettable fishing adventure, just be careful though because you will be hooked!

After years of talking about it, we finally decided to make the trek from Ontario to Saskatchewan in search of some high quality Carp fishing in Western Canada, and can honestly say we were more than pleased with our results, landing many quality fish. Anthony did what he does best, consistently putting us on fish and on a variety of swims at that. We capped the trip off with an epic evening of Walleye fishing resulting in multiple PB’s landed. With some amazing services, Last Mountain Lake truly is a remarkable venue and we are already planning our next trip.
